On Friday, September 12, Mr. Jacobsma hosted the annual Fall Frenzy tailgating event, which held volleyball games, soccer games, and tennis matches.
The tailgate brought many students, teachers, and parents together with hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks in hopes of increasing team spirit and community building.
Although many students came to the game dressed in blue and white, the volleyball team lost its game to Estes Park in all three sets. Captain Bella Ward (‘26) noted that it was a tough loss but they still have high spirits for the rest of the season and that the team should hold their heads high.
Thankfully, the soccer team won their game against Sheridan with a score of 2-1. Student council president Jonah Lodge (‘26) was at the event supporting the teams and said, “Although it’s easy to get distracted by wins and losses, the tailgate reminds us that it’s more than that. It’s about coming together as a school and supporting each other no matter what.”
In addition, Jonah explained that the event was very successful in increasing school spirit because it brought so many people together in school colors, supporting the teams. With the games coming to an end, the students went home and another successful Fall Frenzy event was in the books.
