As Pony Puff and Dawson Fest approaches this Friday, students announce they are unprepared and unexcited. Dawson’s Pony Puff cheerleaders Emma Schwartz and Morgan Howard (9th graders) say that the cheer team has had no practices and feels unprepared for their halftime show. When asked about Pony Puff, two middle schoolers named Connley and Trenton asked, “What is that?” Middle schoolers Magnolia, Brinley, and Masey had little excitement about Spirit Week and Dawson Fest, but none plan on attending Pony Puff. On the bright side, the senior Pony Puff team is “looking for a quarterback” and has some promising candidates like Madison Dodge. Senior team coaches Declan Noonan and Shan Amin said the junior team is “pretty bad.” They predict that the score will be around 42-0 for seniors. Junior team member Chloe Pennington states that the team is “unprepared” and has “practiced twice.” She says they have “no team” and need many more players. Hopefully Dawson can come together and make a fantastic Dawson Fest and a successful Pony Puff game.
