On Saturday night, Dawson School students gathered for an unforgettable prom night held at Rembrandt Yard, a venue that offered the perfect blend of creativity and celebration. From 8 to 11 p.m., students danced, posed for photos, and celebrated the end of the school year in style.
As students arrived, they were warmly greeted by Mr. Lewis and Mr. Ovelman, who welcomed everyone at the entrance with smiles and words of encouragement.
The evening was kicked off with music and excitement as students made their way through the gallery’s uniquely decorated spaces.
The DJ played a variety of different song genres, which didn’t really fit the vibe, but in the end, how good can they be? The mosh pits lacked energy as it seemed students were confused as to what to do in them. But once the worm broke out, tensions eased, & students danced without care.
The snack bar featured a selection of light and dainty fruit sticks and desserts. They also had ice water, cold tea, and refreshing lemonade to quench everyone’s dying thirst. The temperature in the building was rising the entire night, as students danced, many, including myself, had to step out on the balcony to catch a refreshing breath of air because of how hot it was.
This prom was miles ahead compared to last year. This year’s prom final rating has to be a solid 7/10!!!
