On October 9th the Mustangs took the L against Skyview Academy which holds an impressive 9-4 record. Despite this tough loss which was important for their playoff positioning, the team still has high hopes for good playoff positioning. Finn Almond (27’), the starting Midfielder, says that they are in a “decent position” even though their record (7- 4) doesn’t seem good enough.
Shelton Johnson (26’) says that the team is in “good hands” with their amazing coach and also Isaiah Tu (26’) says that he thinks we have a really “good shot” of going far into the playoffs
The Mustangs have three more games remaining which are against Denver Academy, Heritage Christian, and Estes Park. If they win these next three games, they will be guaranteed a spot in the regional playoffs.
